Honour Stands

I love the idea of honour stands.  :-)

This fellow visits three honour system farm stands.

Another little honour stand, where bouquets of flowers and pottery are sold.

Pink Sky

I took this picture this morning from the front step at 8:50am.  What fantastic colours!

We are in the midst of a stretch of unusually mild (-3 to 6+ degree Celsius) weather.  It has been like this for at least a week.  A lot of snow has melted, creating large ice patches, puddles, and streams on the streets and some leaking in our basement.  I'll take these temps over what is...or perhaps what used to be?...typical for this region in January: 2 to 4 weeks of -25 to -40 degrees with ice fog and the occasional chinook blowing in for relief.  No wonder everyone seems to have "command start" installed in their vehicles here.

Winter Weather

The snowfall advisory has ended, the snowblower works, and the sun is out again.  -15 degrees.  All is well.

"Feels like" -41 degrees.

(Please refer to my previous post.)

Time to make some tea, curl up under a quilt, and rethink my plans to return to work...
